Biography

Ruth Overlease is a board-certified physician in family medicine. She was raised in Eagle, Colorado and is delighted to be returning to practice in the Valley. She completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Denver followed by medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. The lure of Colorado’s sunshine and mountains carried her home for her residency training at the University of Colorado.

She enjoys family medicine because of the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and their families from infancy through adulthood. She strives to provide excellent care founded upon mutual respect and collaboration.

When away from work she cherishes spending time with her husband and two sons but no longer tries to keep up with them on the mountain bike trails or ski slopes. She also enjoys creative writing and piano.

Requesting back-to-school, summer camp, medication administration and sports permission clearance forms are easy to request by email. 

Simply email pediatric.forms@vailhealth.org with your child's name, date of birth, primary care provider/pediatrician’s name and the type of form you need. Emails are answered within three business days, and completed forms will be sent back to you via secure email.
