| Residency: | Dr. Schwartz completed his B.A. degree with a major in English at the University of Michigan in 1971. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1975. He received his training in Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Medical Center in 1978 and served an additional year as chief medical resident in 1979. Dr. Schwartz completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of California, San Diego in 1982 and came to practice in Denver in that year. He has been the Director of Adult Critical Care at P/SL Medical Center since 2003 and has served as the Chairman of the Quality Medical Committee at P/SL Medical Center since 2009. Over the years, Dr. Schwartz has won several teaching awards. Dr. Schwartz’s interest outside of medicine have been his family, skiing, and road and mountain biking. |
