Dr. Herlihy obtained both a undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia and then continued his education at George Washington University where he completed his residency. He completed a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the University of Utah. In addition, Dr. Herlihy was the recipient of the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow research award in 2007.

He specializes in musculoskeletal radiology and sports imaging and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Herlihy is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the Society of Skeletal Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Herlihy and his wife are proud parents to a daughter and in his spare time, Dr. Herlihy enjoys hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding.
