Biography

Dr. Joseph Dall'Era was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He moved to Denver in 1999 to attend medical school at the University of Colorado. After completing his residency in urology at the University of Colorado, he began practicing in Denver with Kaiser Permanente, where he remained for 13 years, including six years as the regional Chief of the Department of Urology. Dr. Dall'Era has extensive experience in all aspects of urology including the treatment of benign prostate enlargement, stone disease, urologic cancers, urinary incontinence and overactive bladder. He strongly believes in developing a partnership with his patients, emphasizing their preferences and goals in formulating personalized treatment plans.

Dr. Dall'Era met his wife Tara in Denver, and the two were married at the Vail Chapel in 2008. They maintained a second home in Vail for many years and spend as much time as possible in the Vail Valley, along with their two dogs Riva and George. Together, they enjoy many activities including snowboarding, skiing, biking, hiking, paddleboarding and watching live music. Dr. Dall'Era also plays the guitar and has an appreciation for a variety of musical styles.
